University and Council Examinations :

Higher Secondary Course :

There will be two examinations conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council - Higher Secondary First Year Examination held at the end of the first year and Higher Secondary Final Examination held at the end of the second year.

T.D.C. Course :

There will be three University Examinations - Part I at the end of the first year, Part II at the end of the second year and Part III at the end of the third year as per table 2.1.3 (A&B).

Internal Examinations :

Apart from the examinations conducted every year by the Gauhati University and Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, the college has its own method of evaluating the achievements of students at different levels through a continuous process.

(i) Weekly tutorial/remedial classes are arranged for small groups of students where the students can interact with the teacher closely and the teacher can extend remedial help to the students.

(ii) Seminars and group discussions are arranged among the students and each student is awarded an internal assessment on the basis of his/her attendance, participation and performance in these seminars and group discussions.

(iii) There will be one Test Examination in an academic session for each class and attendence of all the students in the Test Examination is compulsory. The probable date for the Test Examination will be found in the Academic Calendar of the college. The Test Examination will be conducted by an Examination Committee set up for this purpose by the Principal and Vice Principal will be the permanent member of this committee.

(iv) The eligibility of a student for appearing in the University and Council examinations will be determined on the basis of his/her internal assessment and performance in the Test Examination.
